  • 18 (6-inch) corn tortillas, torn in half
  • 1 (28 oz) can green chile enchilada sauce
  • 1 (16 oz) package shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 (8 oz) container reduced-fat sour cream
  • Garlic salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Season the chicken with garlic salt and bake for about 45 minutes until cooked through.
  3. Shred the chicken once cooled.
  4. Optional: Char tortilla halves over an open flame for added flavor.
  5. Layer half an inch of enchilada sauce in the baking dish, followed by six tortilla halves.
  6. Add half of the shredded chicken, one-third of the cheese, half of the sour cream, and one-third of the sauce.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
