  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup pistachio butter
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and yeast.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk warm milk, melted butter, and egg until combined. Add this to the dry ingredients.
  3. Knead the mixture until it forms a soft dough.
  4. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  6. Spread pistachio butter evenly over the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Roll into a log shape and cut into 12 equal pieces.
  8. Place in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
