  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 44 Whoppers
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 small tube white cake decorating gel

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and baking powder; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar using an electric mixer until fluffy.
  4. Add in the egg and creamy peanut butter; mix until well combined. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; mix until just combined.
  6. Roll dough into one-inch balls; roll in granulated sugar before placing on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 8 minutes or until edges are golden; let cool slightly on the sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Once cooled, melt chocolate chips and dip one end of each Whopper into melted chocolate; place on top of each cookie as the spider body. Use additional melted chocolate for legs and finish with white cake decorating gel for eyes.
