  • Kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 lb. cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 tablespoons basil pesto
  • 1/2 lb. ciliegene mozzarella
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Fresh cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the orecchiette in boiling salted water until al dente (about 9 minutes). Reserve a cup of cooking liquid before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over high heat. Add cherry tomatoes and sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in the drained pasta along with basil pesto and mix well for about 1 minute.
  4. Gently fold in ciliegene mozzarella and fresh basil until combined.
