  • 2 ripe mangos (peeled & diced)
  • 23 habanero peppers (stemmed & seeded)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the olive oil and sauté minced garlic and habaneros for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Transfer the sautéed mixture into a blender along with diced mangoes, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and water. Blend until smooth.
  3. Return the blended mixture to the saucepan and simmer on medium-low heat for 10–12 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or tanginess as desired by adding more honey or vinegar.
  5. Allow the sauce to cool before storing in jars.
