  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup bell peppers (red and yellow), diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp agar-agar powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping the onion and bell peppers, and mincing the garlic.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then brown them for about 5-7 minutes on each side. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions and bell peppers until tender (about 5 minutes). Add garlic during the last minute.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet; stir in paprika and pour in chicken broth. Simmer gently.
  5. Sprinkle agar-agar into the mixture while stirring constantly; cook for an additional two minutes until thickened.
  6. Stir in sour cream; simmer for another five minutes before serving.
