  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 5 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and coat the bottom with olive oil.
  2. While the pan heats, slice the mozzarella cheese, avocado, and tomato.
  3. Assemble the sandwich by layering mozzarella on one slice of bread, followed by avocado and tomato slices. Sprinkle with basil.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread (butter-side up).
  5. Grill in the skillet for about 3 minutes until golden brown. Flip carefully and grill for another 3 minutes until melted.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before slicing in half. Serve warm.
