Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (or melted coconut oil)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs with vegetable oil and vanilla extract until frothy. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the batter.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle half of the hot fudge sauce on top before pouring in the remaining batter and topping with the rest of the sauce. Gently swirl together using a knife.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean or slightly fudgy. Let cool in the pan for about ten minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
