  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 limes (juiced and zested)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 12 corn or flour tortillas
  • Optional toppings: avocado slices, hot sauce, pickled onions

Instructions

  1. Pat fish fillets dry and season with a spice rub made from chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the seasoned fish for about 3-4 minutes per side until flaky.
  3. For lime crema, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
  4. Prepare slaw by mixing shredded cabbage and carrots with lime juice, olive oil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Warm tortillas and assemble tacos by placing slaw in each tortilla followed by fish and drizzling with lime crema.
