  • 7 tablespoons salted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer bowl, mix 2 1/2 cups flour, instant yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warm water or milk, honey, and 1 tablespoon butter; knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with remaining butter; sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  6. Cut into strips, twist into knots, place on baking sheet, and top with cinnamon-brown sugar mixture.
