Ingredients

Scale
  • 400 g flour
  • 7 g instant yeast
  • 15 g granulated sugar
  • 7 g salt
  • 35 ml sunflower oil
  • 225 ml water
  • 40 g butter (for filling)
  • 1 egg (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, salt, sunflower oil, and water. Mix until combined and knead for about 10-12 minutes until smooth.
  2. Let It Rise: Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Shape the Dough: Divide into two pieces and roll each into a circle on a floured surface.
  4. Add Butter and Cut Triangles: Spread softened butter on one circle, place the second circle on top, and cut into 12 triangles.
  5. Forming Croissants: Roll each triangle from the wide end toward the tip and place them on a lined baking tray.
  6. Final Rise and Bake: Brush each croissant with beaten egg, let rise for another 30 minutes, then preheat oven to 200°C (392°F) and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
